A Goodman airconditioning unit (Model# CLJ30-1A) in Ankeny, IA receiving a Seasonal
Maintenance from DJ at Greens Appliance Heating Cooling is sure lucky.
Goodman's products never have it as good as when they get it from Greens.
Air Conditioner Tests
DJ expertly tested the
blowers and the motors for correct rotation, speed, belt condition and tension,
and adjusted the dampers. He replaced the customer's 1”
filter for FREE!
DJ also
checked the evaporator coil temperature, and cleaned it. He straightened
out the fins, fan, hose and drain, of course. Every one knows you got to
do those things, right!? He cleaned and checked the efficiency of the
condenser and adjusted as needed. Whew!
Air Conditioner
Refrigerant Check
The refrigerant levels were checked.
They needed to be charged, so they were charged as needed, as well as,
making sure all the pressures were normal, and checking the efficiency of the
compressor.
Air Conditioning Electrical Checks
DJ
also checked the electrical for the AC, making sure the voltage and amp draw
were correct, as well as double checking the start/run capacitors, contractors,
relays, and the safety controls for correct operation and settings. This
is important for a unit to run at maximum capability. The thermostat and
controls were calibrated and checked for correct operation for the upcoming
summer. Ah, summer. Doesn't it feel good just talking about summer?
Air Conditioning Leaks?
And last but not least, DJ
checked the unit for leaks, and found none at this time. The customer did not
have a whole house humidifier, but if they did, DJ would have also
shut that off for the summer free of charge.
All in all, the unit is working great!
A 21 point clean and check
is our standard for all Seasonal Maintenance!

Hot On A/C Repair IN Iowa.
A Goodman Air Conditioner Repair in Elkhart,
Iowa is no match for Greens Appliance Heating Cooling's expert air conditioning
technician. Why call Greens Appliance Heating
Cooling?
A Goodman central air conditioner (Model#
CLJ60-1C) in Elkhart, IA that keeps tripping the breaker prompted a Central
Iowa customer to call Greens. This was pretty frustrating for this Greens
customer. DJ, a top repair technician, was sent to find the reason why.
Not so much why the customer was frustrated, we knew that. But, to find the source of the problem. How did we fix this air conditioner? DJ found that the A/C had a bad compressor. Oh, no. Acting on his own recognizance, he installed a new compressor for the unit. But, the weather from our unseasonably warm winter turned south, and it was too cold for him to charge the unit with refrigerant and test it.
So, what did Greens do? Out of sight out of mind? Wait for a happy customer to call us back? Hardly. After a few weeks the warm weather returned again (like it always does in Iowa.) DJ, tracked this repair ticket for when he would be able to charge the unit and test it. Soon, he did. Everything ran great! Good work DJ!
