Janitrol Furnace Gas Buildup

What do you do if you smell gas? A Janitrol Furnace (Model GMP100-5) was causing a customer to smell gas, so they called Greens Appliance Heating and Cooling. Greens sent DJ out to investigate a gas smell.  DJ sniffed around and found that the igniter was not igniting the burners fast enough and was causing gas build up. He recommended to the customer that they replace the igniter, and gave them a flat rate quote.  There was absolutely no need to get a new furnace. Inevitably, the customer went ahead with the repair, and DJ replaced the igniter for them.  He cycled the unit, checked for any gas leaks, and found none.  The furnace is now working properly without the smell of gas.
