When we visit our customers, we do our best to solve their
appliance problem and also try to save them money. Here are a few tips on how
you can save energy, money, and maybe extend the life of your household
appliances:
1. Keep your Refrigerator coils clean. Periodically checking
for dust, hair, and particle buildup and keeping the coils clean will help keep
your refrigerator running smoothly and cut down your energy costs.
2.Pre-clean your dishes. Scrape off any excess food off your
dishes before using the Dishwasher. You don't need to wash the dishes, but make
sure there's not a lot of food that will clog up your machine.
3.Sharpen up your Garbage Disposal. With the water running,
put a few ice cubes into the disposal. This will keep the blades sharp so you
won't have to run the disposal so long.

5. Don't overload your Washer. While it may seem that
getting more clothes in that load will save, an overloaded washing machine will
work harder and not get your clothes as clean. Sometimes, less is more.
6. Put a Sweater on your Water Heater. Putting a
"blanket" or "sweater" on your water heater, especially an
old one, can save you money on your energy bills. This insulation wrap helps
keep "standby loss" to a minimum.
7. Maintenance Agreements. Getting a maintenance agreement
for your major appliances can save you money. By having our repair team do
periodic checkups and cleaning can save your big headaches.

appliances you have questions about or would like to inquire specifically about
our maintenance agreements, give us a call at 515-323-0680.
